Today, I had the opportunity to partake in the Republic Day celebration of India. This day holds special significance as it marks the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950. While India gained independence in 1947 from British colonialism, it wasn’t until this momentous date in 1950 that the Constitution came into effect, elevating India to a sovereign state and declaring it a Republic.
I was graciously invited as a guest by the commendable Muaawin Charitable Trust, known for their outstanding contributions in education, medical aid, and charitable endeavors.
During the event, I had the privilege of addressing the audience and highlighting three virtues essential for every citizen to embody, thus enriching their role as valuable members of the nation:
- Fostering productivity in our individual capacities.
- Upholding honesty and standing firmly for the truth.
- Devoting ourselves to serving others.
Whilst talking about freedom, I also took the opportunity to remind the audience about the Genocide that Gaza is facing presently. May The Almighty grant freedom to the people of Gaza.
